Listed below are some of our projects.

Rain Escape Deck                                     Products Used on this Project:                                                                                                                                                                Decking                                                                                                                                                        Rain Escape System

The Rain Escape Deck was an interesting project, we needed to provide a dry space under the deck that was functional and aesthetically pleasing. The installation of the Rain Escape System required that the existing decking boards be removed. We replaced them with Veka Deck PVC boards which would closely match the existing painted railing and the metal trim on the insulated windows. Our opinion is that the Veka Deck is the most durable product on the current market and the best choice in maintenence free decking, we highly reccomend it. After reviewing the available water control systems on the market we chose Rain Escape due to it versatility, ease of installation and the ability to make it virtually invisible with vinyl soffit.

Under Deck Soffit                                     Products Used on this Project                                                                                                             Vinyl Soffit

This portion of the project was to create an insulated space within the Sunroom, so we added R-30 Insulation under the floor and protected it with 3/4" Pressure Treated Plywood then covered the plywood with Vinyl Soffit that extended across the entire underside of the deck.

Sunroom Renovations

Here we needed to convert the exterior walls of the house that were now, inside the new sunroom to interior walls in appearance. We converted the existing french doors and window over the sink to interior openings. We removed the vinyl siding and installed drywall. The result was very appealing. We also, covered the existing painted pressure treated deck with 1/2" durock and tile that closely matched the tile in the adjacent dining room and kitchen.

Bathroom Renovation 1                           Products Used on this Project                                                                                                Granite

We completed a renovation  of the Master Bath for a client who wasn't happy with the contractor they initially hired. We replaced all of the tile and greenboard in the shower and tub surround with the appropriate material (Durock). We also replaced the floor tile. We removed the existing vanity and built a custom new one with a granite top. We replaced the mirrors, medicine cabinets and existing lighting. We also built them a custom Linen Storage Cabinet.

Leaky Shower                                           Products Used on This Project                                                                                                                                      Durock

These clients came to me with what they thought might be a leaking shower. Upon further investigation we were able to determine that the shower was indeed leaking. During demolition of the shower we discoved that the previous contractor did not take the proper steps when installing the mud bed and liner. They failed to install the liner 12" up the wall, they drove nails through the liner below the water level, they clogged the weep holes in the secondary portion of the drain and they used Greenboard Drywall instead of Durock. We had to remove half of the shower's subfloor because is was saturated with water and mold and we removed all of the Greenboard from floor to ceiling and replaced it with durock. Mold can be a dangerous if not corrected in time, below are some facts on how to prevent it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Some  Facts on how to prevent  Mold

Master Bedroom Renovation

This project was to create a bedroom for the client's son who was getting older and they felt it was time for him to have his own room. The existing Master Bedroom had a sitting room that had become a sleeping area for their son. So, we filled in the doorway between the master bedroom and the sitting room and created a doorway into the eat in dining room/kitchen and recessed the bedroom door back to create some seperation from the dining room. We also installed a closet so now their home has an added "to code" bedroom which will increase the value of their home.

Custom Fluted Column

This project was to hide an problem of cracking drywall that was wrapped around a support column for the house. We built the column using 3/4" poplar, we used a 1" bullnose router bit to create the flutes. Due the column being so tall, almost 9', if we had used thinner flutes we would not have achieved the bold look that we did with the 1" flutes. The tricky part of this install was that we had to mate the column up with the existing half wall's wooden cap and make it look as if it was all built at the same time, so we coped the edges of the column to match the profile of the wooden cap. We finished the top off with 3 1/2" crown that is used in other parts of the house as to match the

Cedar Squirrel Feeder

I had a lot of wildlife that would visit my back deck so I started feeding the birds and as always the squirrels would take over so, instead of trying to keep them away I decided to build the squirrels their own feeder to try and keep them out of the bird feeders. I built it completely with cedar and plexiglas. I mounted the feeder on brackets so that when they dropped the seed it would fall on the ground and not on the deck.
